The last 18 months have seen historic challenges and each of you has met those challenges with tenacity, innovation, and old-fashioned hard work.

Each day, I feel very fortunate to be able to work with outstanding faculty and staff like you. Your work is making a difference in the lives of our students and in the many communities in this state that we serve.Ìý

As the start of the new fiscal year approaches, I am very pleased to report that we will be able to award merit pay increases, effective July 1, to benefits-eligible employees. A merit raise pool of $6.5 million will be provided.

Additional details and guidelines for administering raises will be distributed to departments in the next few days as part of the annual budgeting process.Ìý
